story During World War II, Lt. Aldo Raine leads his squad of Jewish-American soldiers behind enemy lines in Nazi occupied France. Their job is simple: kill the enemy. In Paris, Shosanna runs a cinema and through a chance meeting with a German war hero, is selected to host the premiere of one of Dr. Josef Goebbels propaganda film. With all of the German high command scheduled to attend - including Hitler, Goering and Martin Bormann - it seems like the ideal opportunity for Lt. Raine and his men to bring the war to a quick end. Shosanna, who is Jewish and whose parents and siblings were killed before her eyes, also has her own plans for the evening"s festivities. When she realizes that the man who killed her family Colonel Hans Landa, known as the Jew Hunter, will also be there it makes her own plans complete

That German guy had the balls that would stop the rotation of the earth. I know it sounds strange because there is Pulp Fiction in Tarantino"s hands. But, IMO, Inglorious Basterds is better. It"s definitely the most entertaining movie I"ve ever seen. And that it"s what Tarantino always wants to bring us, entertainment. Watching Basterds, tension grows inside you scene after scene while you keep laughing hard at the dark comedy/clever jokes. That is just the perfect mix to prepare you for the ending. As it approaches, you keep thinking: Oh my God, I can"t believe this is going to happen! We"ll have problems counting the dead bodies, haha. Tarantino"s mark. Aldo Raine (Brad Pitt) makes you laugh a lot. His accent is a little annoying at the beginning, but as you know him better, you realize that it fits just perfectly. Hans Landa (Cristoph Waltz) the villain, is unbelievable. When the movie ended I thought about 2 things: How that movie was perfect and that I just watched the man who was going to win Best Supporting Actor Oscar, and that really happened. This is a movie I"ll watch thousands of times. And I recommend you to do so.

People with a high IQ will probably understand this movie the 2nd time they watch it. Damn, takin it like a champ. No one seems to talk about how at the end it cant be a dream since he was never able to see his kids faces in his dream, he wasnt able to call out to them but since at the end he was finally able to see them it was reality, also the father was in it and he is only scenes in which Cobb is not dreaming, if you dont believe me look it up. It is set in occupied France during the 2nd World War, much as a fairy tale would have a far-away kingdom as a setting, and chronicles the exploits of a Jewish American commando outfit sent overseas to intimidate the Nazis.
So far, so good. However, it doesn"t entirely succeed as a B-movie, mostly because Tarantino has a schizophrenic attitude to his material. Many sequences are drawn out too far for drama, as the scenes following them usually break the spell by bringing the viewer firmly back to self-referencing movieland, replete with inane dialogue and sadistic detail.
It does feature some explosive action sequences and excellent performances that make up for the boring parts. Take it as a set of postmodern grindhouse vignettes and it works quite nicely, and the finale is magnificent. Some tighter editing would have made it an even more entertaining package.

The older I get and the more times I watch this movie, the more and more I realize how much of a genius Christopher Nolan is. My god. This movie is a masterpiece. No reason to be anxious The milk arrives. Inglourious basterds pub full scene.
